Africa
The real home of jazz and blues. If someone is particularly insisted, could well risk a statement that the true home of contemporary music is Africa. It was from African rhythms, transferred to American soil brought by slaves to the United States, has grown up blues and jazz music, and rhythm & blues, which was the direct and the beginning of rock'n'roll is still extremely popular, even in times when the rock'n'roll has long passed. For many years the so-called black music has been marginalized by strict rules governing the playing of music in American radio stations, intended for the white population. Among the performers in Africa, however, only a few managed to be an international success. The first of these groups was undoubtedly, which included four African and three musicians from the Caribbean. Today the greatest respect is surrounded vocalist Youssou N'Dour.
